My Dining Room’s Evolution

My dining room has been slowly changing, bit by bit, layer by layer. When my husband and I first moved in, it was all white.

So we painted. But this was just a temporary step, because I knew I wanted to add wallpaper. I just couldn’t make up my mind on which pattern to use!

It took me a year to decide, but I finally chose the pattern I’d had in mind all along.

Next, I decided to paint all of the wood trim white.

I love the transformation that the white trim gave the room, but it still wasn’t finished. I had neglected the top half of the room, but now that the white trim blended into the white ceiling, I knew I had to change something. I used a dark gray to bring the ceiling down a little for a cozier feeling.

I’m sure that the room will continue to change and evolve, but it feels really good right now.
