Hello, I’m Erika and I am a creator. And believe it or not, if you are reading the Colortopia blog, then you are too! As an interior designer I live for helping homeowners move from inspiration to action. Whether I’m working in their homes, providing design inspiration on my blog (BluLabel Bungalow), or contributing to various publications, I encourage others to live life in color while also appreciating the quietness of a neutral hue.
I am also the co-founder of Room Service Atlanta, a nonprofit group that organizes local designers to provide pro-bono design services to the city’s homeless shelters and other living facilities. We donate our time and talents to create beautiful environments that support their need for hope, healing, and a place they are proud to call home.
Here on MyColortopia, I look forward to providing design inspiration, ideas, and hands-on opportunities for you to design a home that’s pleasing to you. With each step of the design process, you will find working with your hands to be incredibly rewarding, no matter how small the project. My mantra is that beauty is all around us. As a location scout for Better Homes and Gardens magazine, I realize that sometimes you find it on the surface, but other times you have to roll up your sleeves and uncover it.
I’m thrilled that we share the same passion for creativity and can’t wait to work with you in accomplishing your decorating goals. Come on friends, let’s get started!
